45-hour 18-module course provides instruction on how to implement and
administer a company safety program. Topics include introduction to
safety technology; hazard recognition, evaluation, & control; risk
analysis& assessment; inspections, audits, & observations;
employee motivation; site-specific ES&H plans; emergency action
plans; JSAs & TSAs; safety orientation & training; work permit
policies; confined-space entry procedures; safety meetings; accident
investigations: policies, procedures & data analysis;
recordkeeping; OSHA inspection procedures; data tracking &
trending; and environmental awareness. The program is recognized by
CCHEST as exam preparation for their STS & OHST certifications.

constructively evaluated by peers. This course is a requirement prior

Orientation to the Trade, Heavy Equipment Safety, & Identification of Heavy Equipment

20-hour 3-module course provides a comprehensive overview of heavy
equipment uses, operator responsibilities, career opportunities, &
safety principles associated with the operation of heavy equipment. The
course covers the safety principles for the operation, maintenance, and
transportation of heavy equipment, including covering the use of signs
& barricades & the safety of those working in the vicinity of
heavy equipment, as well as trenching safety issues. Additionally, the
course provides an overview of each type of heavy equipment covered in
the program, along with their different models, applications, and
common attachments.

Alternating Current, Basic Electronics, & Electrical Heating
 This 3-module course
reviews electrical safety & covers transformers, single-phase &
three-phase power distribution, capacitors, the theory & operation
of induction motors, & the instruments & techniques used in
testing AC circuits & components. The course also explains the
theory of solid-state electronics, as well as the operation, use, &
testing of the various electronic components used in HVAC equipment and
covers the operation & testing of electric furnaces & their
components, with an emphasis on the operation of furnace circuit
controls.
