Introduction to Concrete & Reinforcing Materials; Windows & Doors; & Basic Stair Layout
This 3-module course describes the ingredients of concrete,
discusses the various types of concrete, and describes how to mix
concrete, including job-built footing, edge, & wall forms and form
ties & describes the types and uses of concrete reinforcing
materials. The course includes descriptions of the various types of
windows, skylights, & exterior doors, & provides instructions
for installing them, including instructions for installing
weather-stripping & locksets. The course also introduces the
various types of stairs & common building code requirements related
to stairs, focusing on the techniques for measuring & calculating
rise, run, & stairwell openings, laying out stringers, and
fabricating basic stairways.

Heavy Equipment Operations
Orientation to the Trade, Heavy Equipment Safety, & Identification of Heavy Equipment
This
20-hour 3-module course provides a comprehensive overview of heavy
equipment uses, operator responsibilities, career opportunities, &
safety principles associated with the operation of heavy equipment. The
course covers the safety principles for the operation, maintenance, and
transportation of heavy equipment, including covering the use of signs
& barricades & the safety of those working in the vicinity of
heavy equipment, as well as trenching safety issues. Additionally, the
course provides an overview of each type of heavy equipment covered in
the program, along with their different models, applications, and
common attachments.

This 10-hour course, covers the
transportation, storage, & Setup of cable reels; methods of
rigging; & procedures for complete cable pulls in raceways &
cable trays.
This 30-hour course
covers the operation, testing, & adjustment of conventional &
electronic thermostats, as well as the operation of common electrical,
electronic, & pneumatic circuits used to control HVAC systems and
explains how to analyze circuit diagrams for electronic and
microprocessor based controls used in comfort heating & cooling
equipment & how to troubleshoot systems that use these controls.

15-hour course explains the safety obligations of workers, supervisors,
& managers to ensure a safe workplace; discusses the causes &
results of accidents & the dangers of rationalizing risk; reviews
the role of company policies & OSHA regulations in maintaining a

protections such as lockout/tagout, persoal protective equipment (PPE),
and HazCom.
