This 12Ω-hour course covers safety rules & regulations for electricians & teaches the necessary precautions to take for various electrical hazards found on the job. The course also teaches the OSHA-mandated lockout/tagout procedure.

carpentryThis 17Ω-hour course covers the basic principles of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning and career opportunities in HVAC, training, & apprenticeship programs. The course explains hot to solve problems involving the measurement of lines, area, volume, weights, angles, pressure, vacuum, & temperature and introduces scientific notation, powers, roots, and basic algebra & geometry. The course also describes the purpose and safe use of tools, such as wrenches, saws, hammers, drills, and measuring instruments, along with instructions on their maintenance.

Introduction to the Plumbing Profession & Plumbing Safety

 

This 25-hour course introduces the many career options available in today's plumbing profession, provides a history of plumbing, discusses the current technology, industries, & associations that make up the modern plumbing profession, and reviews human relations & safety skills. The course discusses the causes of accidents & their consequences & repercussions in terms of delays, increased expenses, injuries, and loss of life. The course reviews the types & proper use of personal protection equipment and instructs the use of critical safety information conveys in hazard communication, safety signs, signals, lockout/tagout, & emergency response. The course also covers confined-space safety, & review safety issues related to hand & power tools.
